The Terrible Drawing Club is an interactive, anti-perfectionist drawing community that invites people to create without fear, pressure, or expectations. A place to explore failure as experimentation, to create new meanings rather than considering failure to be a dead end.

It’s a space where participants are encouraged to make bad, funny, or chaotic drawings that celebrate process over perfection.

Through the Terrible Drawing Club, my explorations become outward and communal. Making becomes a social and a personal act. TDC is a space where art extends to play. Working across mediums such as drawings, paper, clay, stop motion films, the focus moves away from skill toward experimentation, and the joy of making. What emerges from these sessions are small sculptures, moving images, and improvised objects. Participants range from artists, designers to people with no formal art training –– drawn to the space for its openness and lack of expectation.

I facilitate these sessions individually or with colaborators, by setting up frameworks and prompts. Participants collaborate and build on shared ideas. In this way, TDC becomes a space where individual and collective myth-making overlap, and where making is experienced as something fluid, social, and generative.
